Green Key Eco-rating

Whether it’s through our nation-wide “Adopt a Shelter” initiative where lightly used furniture and other goods are donated to local women’s shelters; the chain wide recycling and towel and sheet re-use programs; the move towards using high-efficiency compact fluorescent bulbs, or the diversion of more and more organic waste, we are committed to minimizing our footprint. As a quality organization, this is a key focus for all of us at Delta Hotels.

An important partner in this process is the Hotel Association of Canada. Our hotels and resorts are audited and rated by its well-established and well-regarded Green Key Eco-Rating Program. Recognizing companies like ours that are committed to improving their environmental performance, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program evaluates a hotel’s performance in nine areas of sustainable operations including:

• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management
